  Who doesn't like bannock? When people ask me "Where should I eat in Merritt?", I always recommend Kekuli Cafe. This quite cafe has food and flavours that are anything but. All the food is bursting with flavour, featuring new twists on old classics. Recently I tried the pulled pork bannock sandwich and it was amazing. I am a pulled pork afficionado and let's just say, I don't think I can go back. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly and the owner is super involved, giving me the sense that this is a restaurant with direction. I hear they have a location in Kelowna as well which I am eager to try out. Have some time while you are in Merritt, definitely stop at Kekuli Cafe.

  Was going back & forth on whether or not to try a piece of the tradition bannock as it's sitting in a display case for who knows how long. I've only ever had made right in front of me. I'm glad I went for it though! And I'm glad I don't live in Merritt or I'd probably gain 50#. I mean bannock donuts, bannock sandwiches, bannock tacos?! I had the London fog w/ almond milk. Very good but VERY sweet. My sister had the mocha lavender latte w/ almond milk & she wouldn't shut up about how good it was. You impress her.. you're doing something right! Haha. I'm only docking a star because the staff at the front messed up a little & was quite slow to serve our goodies. Very nice girl but maybe needed more training before being thrown out on her own.

  Great little cafe. Stopped here on the way back to Vancouver. Bannock is delicious.

  5 stars for what it sets out to be. Great fresh breaded options with little side treats, 5 minutes off the highway.
